Rebecca is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (with experience since 2018), working as both a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at MMHC. My goal is to meet you where you are, tailoring my approach to fit the individual in front of me. I draw from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strength-Based approaches, Harm Reduction, and Mindfulness. With each client, I emphasize the importance of treating yourself with kindness, being non-judgmental, and recognizing every achievement, no matter how small, with a well-deserved pat on the back.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Just come as you are. I am here to help you throughout this process. We are in this together. You'll know therapy is working when you develop a deeper awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which will enhance your mindful engagement in various activities. As you progress, your inner critic will diminish in intensity, making way for a stronger presence of self-compassion and kindness in your life. You may even start giving yourself that pat on the back when noticing a victory.
