Getting to know Rebecca Hunt
Welcome! I'm glad you are interested in your or a family member's emotional and mental well-being. I'm Becky Hunt, though my official name is Rebecca. Since 2004, I have worked with children and families, providing various case management and therapeutic services throughout my social work career. I believe wellness includes many factors-mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Some areas of your life might be balanced while others are not. You likely already manage many challenges with your strengths and skills; we can build on those together. My work-joy is found in play therapy. Through play therapy, children, families, and adults can work through many issues. The best part is that the hard work feels like play. We learn skills by playing throughout life-starting with peek-a-boo, on playgrounds, through sports and backyard games, as well as board and card games with friends. If playing isn't for you, I also provide traditional "talk therapy." I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, specializing in Military Social Work. I have a passion for working with children and adults who have experienced trauma. Trauma can appear in many ways, and we can work together to sort that out. Counseling may include CBT, solution-focused, problem-solving therapy, Motivational Interviewing, trauma therapies, and play therapy when appropriate. Your individualized plan, developed in your words, will be a road map to your desired destination. I would be honored to walk with you along that path. More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
