A little about me. Hi, I’m Rebecca. From the first day of my high school Psychology elective class, I knew that I had found what I was meant to do and wanted a career in the mental health field! I could not wait to start college, majoring in Psychology. Mental health and wellness have been my passion. I’ve had my share of ups and downs along the way, but always considered therapy my calling. My background and experience. During the early part of my career, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital in the child and adolescent unit. I spent several years working with children in the foster care system, providing home-based therapy to children as well as the foster parents. During this time, I learned more about trauma, grief, and loss, and the long-lasting effects it can have on a person. I was in a successful private practice office for well over a decade. I started to explore telehealth and found it intriguing. I loved the idea of therapy coming to the client! Then the pandemic happened. It all seemed to fall into place. It was during this time I took the leap, gave up my office, and became exclusively telehealth and have not looked back! Realizing my true passion was working with grief and loss issues with my clients, I completed training with world-renowned grief expert David Kessler. Through his program, I became a Certified Grief Educator. I offer an individualized approach to grief and will meet you wherever you are at on your grief journey. Personally… Fitness and health are important priorities for me, so I strive to maintain a healthy work/life balance. In addition to my practice, I love spending time with my husband and children. We enjoy going on cruises in the summer. I have an adult daughter, granddaughter, and two boys who live at home. They keep us busy with various after-school activities. My other child is a German Shepherd named Violet (yes, named after my favorite color)!
