Getting to know Rebecca Johnson

Hello! Welcome to my corner of the universe. I'm so glad you're here. Therapy can be scary, and the first step to getting here is the hardest. My name is Rebecca. I am a registered clinical social work intern in Florida and a licensed master of social work in Nevada. I have a Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from California State University. I have been working in the social work field since 2018. I have an eclectic approach to therapy, using mediums such as mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I work from a trauma-focused, strengths-based whole-body perspective. I also never focus on just one aspect of the person but take all areas of your life—physical, mental, social, and more—into account when working with you. Overcoming challenges can be difficult, but with the right tools and support, I believe we can help you become your full self. I specialize in working with those struggling with substance abuse, trauma, domestic violence, children, and depression. I work with all ages from 10 and up. I so look forward to meeting you and beginning this transformative time together!
