Getting to know Rebecca Strickland

Hello, and welcome! My name is Rebecca, and I am a MHC-LP (Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit) for the state of New York, and an APC (Associate Professional Counselor) for the state of Georgia. I obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, and my goal is to help you on your personal journey. Throughout therapy sessions, we can work together to develop coping skills, identify strengths and areas to build, and work towards finding congruence. I offer an empathetic, judgment free experience to all of my clients. I work with clients aged 12 and up. Populations that I have experience with include adolescents, LGBTQIA+ community members, immigrants, and those on fertility journies. As someone who has gone through IVF myself, I understand the emotional and physical strains that it can put on the body, mind, and heart. Through using evidence-based techniques from modalities such as CBT, PCT, and even narrative therapy - I offer an individualized approach to ensure that I am meeting my clients where they're at and working with them.
