Psychotherapist
MN
Hello, I'm Rebecca Zabinski, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota. Originally from New Mexico, I met my husband while serving in the United States Air Force. As a woman veteran, I have grown to love Minnesota and everything it has to offer. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota. My approach to therapy is meeting people where they are and setting goals together so we share a common focus. I have three boys and love animals. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my kids, gardening, or playing with my dogs. I bring over 11 years of counseling experience, beginning my career in the Air Force. I have worked with children ages 5-17 and their families in school settings, but now I prefer to work with older teens and adults across all areas of life. I look forward to connecting with you. My approach My style in therapy is relational and conversational. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment-based techniques. Therapy often includes setting small weekly goals to build habits that support clients' overall progress. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between client and therapist, and building trust is essential to me in the therapeutic relationship. My focus I have extensive experience providing therapeutic services to individuals with severe trauma histories, attachment issues, developmental disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant and conduct disorders, bipolar disorder, emotional behavioral disorders, adjustment disorders, life transitions, relationship issues, career changes or work stress, mood disorders, and gender identity concerns. I enjoy walking alongside clients on their journey toward healing and self-efficacy. My communication style My style is calming and relational. I ask questions that encourage clients to reflect and develop their own solutions.
