Rebekah Morin is a registered marriage and family intern and registered mental health counseling intern. She received her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Palm Beach Atlantic University and holds a certification in Play Therapy. Rebekah brings a wealth of experience from her years in education to the field of counseling. Accustomed to working with families of diverse backgrounds, she is passionate about helping individuals, couples, adolescents, and children navigate the uncertainties of life. Her work is characterized by creativity, compassion, and a desire to help clients thrive as they move toward their goals. Rebekah is the mother of three grown children. In her free time, she enjoys, gardening, photography, walking, and a day at the beach.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, creative and tailored to the client’s needs and goals. I use the client’s interests, challenges and symptoms to offer an approach that is meaningful, clear and effective for the client. Understanding the client’s world is very important to me. The questions I ask are designed to draw out of a client the experiences and environmental factors that are contributing to the concerns and symptoms that bring the client to therapy. For privacy and consent reasons, all patients age 18+ are required to book their own appointments. What is your typical process for working with clients?

An initial session would include gathering information about the client’s family background, education, profession, spirituality, social and medical history, current living situation and the concerns impacted the client’s decision to reach out for support. Subsequent sessions would include questions that invite the client to share their story in an environment that feels safe. Clients are never obligated to answer questions I ask and are free to say “ I’d rather not answer”. I use the client’s responses to questions to offer tools, insight and strategies that will meet the needs the client has described.
