Dr. Regina Clark, DSW

Psychotherapist
TX
My name is Dr. Regina Clark, DSW, LCSW. I work with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma and are ready to heal. I specialize in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and using play therapy with young children. With adults, I utilize talk therapy and solution-focused therapy. In our initial sessions, you'll find a safe space where you're seen, heard, and not rushed. My practice is unique because I bring authenticity, empathy, and a deep respect for your story. I do this work because healing can be challenging, but it’s one of God's priorities for our lives, and you're not meant to do it alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you’ve arrived here, you’re in the right place. Everyone deserves a safe space to work through life’s struggles—and that’s what I offer. I want to meet the real you and explore more deeply the reasons behind what’s holding you back. You don’t have to do it alone—I’ll walk with you every step of the way, providing support and insight to foster your growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll complete a Bio-Psychosocial Assessment, where I’ll gather a detailed picture of your background, life experiences, and relationships. This helps us understand what led you to seek therapy, clarify your goals, and explore the best options for your treatment plan. It’s also our opportunity to get to know each other and make sure we’re a good fit to work together. In the second session, we’ll complete additional assessments that allow me to provide an accurate diagnosis. This step is crucial because it guides the direction of your treatment plan and ensures it’s tailored specifically to your needs. Once the foundation is set, we’ll begin the real work of therapy—diving deeper into your concerns, building skills, and making progress toward the goals you’ve identified. Each session will be a step forward in your healing journey. While each session will have a plan, as a client, you have the right to say that we need to slow down or discuss more pressing issues that are impacting you immediately or have caused discomfort for you during the week between our sessions. We will carry all sessions at your level of comfort and control.

More information on payments and coverage

I partner with Headway, a platform that helps manage insurance billing and payments. This means that if your insurance is in network with Headway, your sessions may be covered (just like going to any other in-network provider). Before your first appointment, Headway will check your benefits and let you know your copay, coinsurance, or deductible responsibilities up front—so there are no surprises. You will add a payment method (like a debit or credit card) to your secure Headway account. After each session, Headway will process the claim directly with your insurance company. Once insurance processes the claim, Headway will automatically charge your card for your portion (copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount). You’ll receive an email receipt each time a payment is made for your records.
