Getting to know Regina Petrella

I have been counseling clients and helping them work through depression, anxiety, and trauma for over 20 years. It is a wonderful honor to provide information, resources, and guidance to clients and witness their healing and growth as they make effective changes and begin to look, sound, and feel better. One of the main things I have learned and witnessed countless times over the past two decades is the amazing capability we each have to learn, grow, and overcome painful emotions and difficult challenges. I hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, a Certificate in Management Effectiveness from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Northridge. My education and extensive experience have deepened my commitment to supporting clients on their journeys toward well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer sincere, compassionate support and sensible guidance. During my years of practice, I have seen countless clients make significant changes and find relief, growth and healing with the help of counseling. Healthy changes is possible for you, too. I can provide you with support, guidance, tools and resources so you can begin feeling better, taking risks, reconnecting with loved ones, building your self-esteem, experiencing peace and feeling present and alive in all the moments of your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During initial session we will discuss what brought you to therapy and goals you hope to achieve during time in treatment. Subsequent sessions will address and resolve issues that brought you to therapy and work toward accomplishing your established goals. I will provide tools and strategies for you to implement to manage symptoms you may be experiencing that are impacting daily functioning.
