Getting to know Remy Ayo

I am a Black queer, trans non-binary, and neurodivergent therapist. I use my personal experience to connect with clients and help them feel seen and heard in therapy sessions. I have experience guiding clients through seeking gender-affirming care and coming out to close family and friends. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo (North Campus).

What should a new client know about working with you?

I typically work with clients for over 6 sessions. If you are in crisis and need immediate attention for an acute concern, then please reach out to a well center to ensure you get the right care and sooner. I provide adolescents and adults with culturally-sensitive counseling. Working from a person-centered approach, I help clients gain insight, coping skills and direction by listening and offering an outside perspective. If it's your goal to talk about ALL parts of your identity and experience with a therapist who "gets" it, don't hesitate and reach out today.
