Renata F. Martins, LMFT

Psychotherapist
FL
I approach my job with respect, compassion, and realism. I understand life isn't always butterflies and rainbows, and effective therapy isn't about ignoring the bad and focusing only on the good. Effective therapy is acknowledging, analyzing, and walking through the ugly so we can better understand ourselves, how we want to live our lives, and how to do so. I strive to create a welcoming environment where people feel comfortable being themselves. Therapy can be nerve-wracking and uncomfortable at times, so I welcome all use of colorful language and unconventional communication. However you feel best expressing yourself, I'm here for it. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support individuals and families through their unique challenges.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
