Many of my clients are used to being the strong one — the person who holds everything together while quietly struggling beneath the surface. They often come to therapy feeling exhausted, disconnected, anxious, or weighed down by shame, trauma, or painful relationship experiences. Some are learning how to reclaim their voice after growing up in environments where their needs, emotions, or identity were minimized. Others are navigating life transitions, intimacy concerns, religious trauma, or the process of reconnecting with themselves more authentically. Healing is not about becoming a different person; it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been silenced, hidden, or hurt along the way. Therapy is a space to process, heal, and begin building a life and relationships that feel more aligned with who you truly are. You don't have to have it all figured out, just a willingness to begin

Getting to know ReNeaSha Ford

Many of my clients are used to being the strong one — the person who holds everything together while quietly struggling beneath the surface. They often come to therapy feeling exhausted, disconnected, anxious, or weighed down by shame, trauma, or painful relationship experiences. Some are learning how to reclaim their voice after growing up in environments where their needs, emotions, or identity were minimized. Healing is not about becoming a different person; it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been silenced, hidden, or hurt along the way. What should a new client know about working with you?

I know that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you're used to carrying everything on your own. My goal is to create a space where you don't have to have it all figured out or hold everything together. I work from the belief that healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and accepted without judgment. I value authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration, and I see therapy as a partnership rather than a place where I'm the expert on your life. My clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, stuck in painful patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety, or carrying shame about relationships, identity, sexuality, or past experiences. Therapy can be a space to slow down, untangle those experiences, and begin reconnecting with who you are beneath your survival mode.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work from a collaborative approach with my clients. In your first session, we'll explore what led you to therapy and work together to determine the most appropriate path for you to begin making progress. With this approach, I bring the clinical experience and knowledge, but you are the expert on you.
