Getting to know Renee Curll

Asking for help is hard. When life feels overwhelming, talking about your challenges can help organize your thoughts. The therapeutic relationship is the most important tool we'll use! Together, we'll build trust, a sense of safety, open communication, and humor to identify how we can strengthen your existing coping skills, supports, and knowledge. I utilize an eclectic approach to best meet your needs. I believe that being kind and compassionate with yourself is the first step toward healing and creating change. I enjoy providing therapy for adults and adolescents 14 and up. I love working with adults and teens on issues such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and relationship problems. I offer compassion and a safe space to explore what's going wrong and what we can do about it. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Temple University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively. Taking the first step is the hardest. I'd love to work with you on your journey to improved mental health. On a personal note, I'm a cat lady, a Swiftie, an avid reader, a mom of a teenager, and an introvert. I'll likely be drinking coffee with a cat in my lap during our session! If this sounds like a good fit, let's go!

What should a new client know about working with you?

We'll start by discussing where you're at in your life. Where do you live, who do you live with, how do you spend your days? We'll talk about what brings you joy, as well as what doesn't. Where are you stuck? We're going to dissect some of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns to understand why they're there. This will make it easier to find out where the change needs to happen, and how we can get it started.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I can’t say enough great things about Renee. After a few years of not seeing a therapist regularly, I decided to start again. Renee made it so easy to continue. She is friendly, warm, and never judgmental, which makes it simple to express any thoughts and feelings. She is also extremely knowledgeable, always recommending coping skills and ways to practice self care. I have definitely seen an improvement in my mental health and have Renee to thank for it!
Renee has provided such a validating and judgement free space to share my challenges. She is a great listener that also provides thought provoking questions. She is extremely approachable, kind, and solution driven. I’m so thankful to her.
I absolutely love her. I have had her for years
Renee and I found out we had a few things in common during my introductory appointment. She gave good advice about dealing with grief.

Renee is wonderful and I really enjoy having her as my therapist. She really helps me find proper logic in how I'm feeling while validating my feelings as well. I like that she calls me out on things that I need to work on and also helps me with tools to help me work on those things. I am a very self-aware person for the most part, and I like that she helps me find the things I miss so I can continue to work on being a better person.
Renee is such a sweet soul and is one of the most intelligent, helpful, and caring people I’ve ever met. I’ve been working with her for 4 years now, and she’s always been reliable, flexible, and understanding. She is a friend and a therapist during sessions simultaneously, always rooting for her client to be their best selves. I’m happy to see her flourish on Grow Therapy and this platform is wonderful for her to continue her work!
Renee has helped me immensely while undergoing a rough situation within mine & my husband's family. She helped me feel not alone while going through all the hardships and lifted me up when she could tell how hard I was being on myself. She always listens and tells me what I need to hear, not always what I want to hear, and I deeply appreciate that.
