Getting to know Renee Henderson

Hi, my name is Renee! I have been a licensed social worker for 24 years. I am a CBT therapist working with children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in anxiety and anger management, ADHD regulation strategies, grief, and loss. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas State University in 1998 and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. Do you miss feeling in control of your emotions during day-to-day interactions with others? Sometimes anxiety and anger can impede important relationships in our lives. Do you feel as if you are driven by a motor and have difficulty organizing your daily tasks? I focus on providing my patients with the tools to feel in control of their world again while enjoying more positive interactions with the important people in their lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am known to be an empathetic, supportive and respectful therapist. I would like each patient to leave the session feeling it has helped them move forward with a plan and process to a happier and healthier tomorrow. My goal, through the use of cognitive behavioral & Solution focused therapy, is to provide patients with the tools to tackle their anger, anxiety and stress with improved outcomes.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
