Getting to know Renee Reopell

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. Finding a supportive, therapeutic home can be a difficult challenge for us as queer, transgender, non-binary, and neurodivergent people. Therefore, I hold some values to create a safer space: you are the expert in your own lived experience; you already posses the strengths that will help you with the challenges you're facing; you deserve a place without judgement; and you are entitled to be your authentic self. I come from a cross-cultural, social justice perspective, and believe collaboration with you is necessary for your best self.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in the power and necessity of Neuroqueer/ trans people as a vital part of our community's ecosystem, worthy of celebration and reverence. Through collaboration together, we'll work to identify your strengths and build the right environment for you to grow and thrive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am currently able to see virtual and in person clients (office in Nyack, NY). I accept Aetna, Cigna, AmidaCare Medicaid (NY), Husky Medicaid (CT) and can help with third party reimbursement. I recognize health care as a basic right, and am open to discussing wellness within your budget. I do not charge for gender affirming letters or letters of support for LGBTQ asylum seekers.
