Hi, I’m Renée Rivers, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, trauma therapist, and the founder of Reflective Rivers Therapy & Consulting. I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families heal from relational wounds, navigate life transitions, and reconnect with their authentic selves. As both a clinician and community advocate, I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel emotionally safe, culturally understood, and empowered to grow.
My approach is person-centered and grounded in Internal Family Systems, which means I believe healing begins with compassion, not judgment. Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling in your relationships, or feeling disconnected from who you are, I’ll walk alongside you with curiosity, care, and respect for your lived experience. You won’t be pushed or pathologized here. Instead, I’ll help you slow down, listen inward, and develop the tools and insight needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.
As a mother, survivor, and therapist, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience into the room. My work is deeply rooted in cultural humility, emotional attunement, and a belief that repair is always possible both within ourselves and in our relationships.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
