Renee Segler-Dather, LPC

Psychotherapist
1333 W McDermott Dr, Allen, TX
I chose to change careers late in my life. It has been a wonderful decision. I am able to help people in their daily lives be happy. I attended SMU Counseling Program in Plano from 2010 to 2013. I was privileged to complete my practicum and internship at the Resource Center in Dallas. I requested this opportunity so I could help as many people as possible. This was not standard procedure, but I was allowed to do the unusual. I believe clients simply want to be happy. They want to make their choices in life without guilt or shame. Everyone deserves that freedom. I hope that I can help people facilitate that life. I am happy to share techniques that provide acceptance that allow people to not be impacted by the judgemental world in which we live. Please give me a call and see if we connect and if you feel comfortable and safe speaking with me.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, I look forward to listening to your personal thoughts, concerns and desires. We will collectively organize a plan to move you forward in the life you desire. The second session will consist of a short assessment and teach you how to relax and self-soothe. Once this is established, we can help you remove the negative emotions that cause ruminating thoughts and negative behaviors that are unconsciously holding you back from the life you desire. I commend you for the courage to seek therapy. I am here to help.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
