Dr. Renen Amir, PhD, AMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Provisional Registered Drama Therapist (P-RDT), I offer a warm, creative, and deeply relational space where you can safely explore life’s challenges. My practice is rooted in the belief that healing, resilience, and personal growth emerge through authentic human connection and the power of imagination. By blending psychotherapy with expressive arts, I help you tap into your innate creativity to access new perspectives, process complex emotions, and discover unexpected pathways toward meaning and forward movement. My clinical approach is uniquely shaped by an interdisciplinary background that bridges intellectual inquiry with the creative arts. Before transitioning into clinical work, I earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy and spent over a decade teaching and researching the role of image and imagination in philosophy and psychoanalysis. This academic journey illuminated for me how vital creativity is to our psychic lives and inner well-being. In our sessions together, we will collaborate to explore unconscious motivations, interpersonal dynamics, and past traumas to help you make sense of your unique story. Together, we will hold space for both the quiet, vulnerable moments of reflection and the imaginative possibilities of creative expression. Under the supervision of Dr. Morice, my ultimate goal is to provide a safe, compassionate sanctuary where you feel deeply heard, rediscover your resilience, and uncover new possibilities for growth and healing.
