Reymon Ethnasios, LMFT

Psychotherapist
OR
I am a psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges, transitions, relationships, and emotional well-being. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s individual experiences, identity, and background. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA, my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and my Doctorate in Education from USC. Throughout my career, I have worked in private practice, taught psychology at USC, Loyola Marymount, Antioch University and worked with incarcerated youth. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from an incredibly diverse range of cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds. As an immigrant who grew up in a working-class family, I also have a personal appreciation for the ways family, culture, identity, opportunity, and life circumstances can shape who we become. My goal is to provide my clients with a thoughtful and supportive space where they can better understand themselves, work through what may be holding them back, and create meaningful change in their lives.

Getting to know Reymon Ethnasios

I am a psychotherapist with nearly 20 years of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges, transitions, relationships, and emotional well-being. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s individual experiences, identity, and background. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA, my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and my Doctorate in Education from USC.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. I strive to create an environment that is warm and nonjudgmental while also being honest, engaged, and purposeful. For me, therapy is about more than simply listening. I want our conversations to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself while finding practical ways to move forward. Over the course of my career, I have worked with people whose lives, backgrounds, and circumstances are very different from one another. That experience has taught me never to assume I know someone’s story based on where they come from, what they do, or what their life may look like from the outside. I approach each client as an individual and take the time to understand what matters most to you. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start with what is happening in your life right now, explore what you would like to be different, and build from there. My role is to meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you are experiencing now, the important experiences and relationships that have shaped you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. From there, we will develop a direction for therapy that reflects your individual needs and goals. I don’t believe in treating every client the same way. Some people benefit from exploring patterns, relationships, and past experiences more deeply, while others are looking for concrete strategies to address something happening in their lives right now. Often, our work will include both. As we continue, I’ll regularly consider with you what is helping, what may need to change, and where you are seeing growth. I view therapy as a collaborative process. My goal is to provide a space where you can speak openly, better understand yourself and the patterns in your life, and develop the insight and tools needed to create meaningful, lasting change.
