Hello and welcome! I am a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. As a first-generation Irish American, a retired college athlete, and someone who grew up in New York City, I carry a deep appreciation for the diversity, complexity, and resilience of city life. I bring this cultural humility, empathy, and real-world perspective into the therapeutic space. I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan and with a wide range of needs including people with intellectual, developmental, and neurocognitive disabilities; individuals involved in the criminal legal system; and those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I view therapy as a collaborative journey. Together, we will work to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your experiences, cultivate insight, and develop meaningful tools for lasting growth and change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to each person. While grounded in a person-centered philosophy, I draw from evidence based modalities such as motivational interviewing, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy—selecting and integrating what best aligns with your needs, strengths, and goals. If we begin working together, our journey will start with a comprehensive intake, followed by collaboratively setting therapeutic goals and building a strong, trusting rapport. I look forward to supporting you in your healing, growth, and self-discovery.
