Hi there, I'm Rhonda! Hi, I'm Rhonda Perry, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Plano, Texas, working with clients across the state via telehealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southern Nazarene University. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. I meet clients where they are as we make progress together to start a journey toward feeling better. My approach My therapeutic approach varies depending on the needs and goals of each client. I use Client-Centered Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. These approaches support clients’ self-discovery, help explore how thoughts and behaviors affect outcomes, and identify the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. My focus Currently, my focus is individual counseling with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. My communication style My communication style is calm, welcoming, and personable. I want my clients to feel heard and comfortable talking with me about anything. My journey to mental healthcare Since childhood, I have been a good listener and felt drawn to helping others. As I grew older, I engaged in organizations, leadership roles, and volunteer work that involved supporting people on their journeys. As a therapist, I’ve worked in hospital settings and private practice. It is encouraging to see people find help, which motivates me to continue this work. My goals for you You determine the goals you want to address in therapy, and I will guide, support, and encourage you as you work toward them. My first session with you The first session is a time for us to talk about what is currently going on and why you decided to seek counseling. This session helps build a connection between us and clarifies what you would like to accomplish during the counseling process.
