Getting to know Rhonda Rittenhouse

Hello there! I am so happy you took the first step in reaching out to me. I would love to speak with you regarding your needs. A little about me-I am first and foremost here for you. You drive how we work together. I am a gentle therapist in the way that we work together. I do not feel making anyone cry is necessary, and feeling safe is of utmost importance. We will work hard, and you will know I am here to work with you and not make you feel any worse than you may already feel. I earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Webster University. I have years of experience working with individuals, couples, and partners. I am also a Veteran and understand that lifestyle. I have worked with non-traditional families, taught parenting courses, worked in schools, specialized for nine years in terminal illness and end-of-life issues, and much more in addition to in-office therapy sessions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the approach I base most of my work on with you. This approach works well with many situations such as managing ADHD, depression, anxiety, partner/family communication, and relationships. Many times, changing the way we think about a situation and how true our beliefs on the situations are will make changes in our beliefs and, in turn, change the way we feel-as a positive. Granted, we will ultimately work the way that fits your needs best. If you just need someone to listen, I can do that. If you are ready to dive into your current situation(s) and make them feel better, I will walk with you on that journey as well. Together we will find the answers you are searching for. I look forward to working with you. Let's take the next step together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session we will get to know one another and see if we will work well together. If you do not feel it is a match, please do not feel obligated to stay with me. Your care is my first priority and I want you to be with someone that may best assist you with meeting your individual goals. After this initial meeting we will check in with one another and then proceed to either what you have brought to work on in the session or I will direct the session to cover what I feel is best for that day. You are in control at all times if you want to direct the day. This is your time.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Rhonda helped me through an extremely difficult time in my life. I was empowered by her affirmation to me. I am no longer feeling the need for therapy, however, in the event that I need it, I’ll be contacting her again.
Rhonda has been very professional with time, schedule, inquisitive questions prompting me with tools and goals. As difficult as it can be to reach out for help, she was a great find and match for my needs.
