Hello! I’m Rianna, a life-long Madisonian, animal lover, and nature enthusiast. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and provide individual mental health counseling. I’ve been practicing since 2017 and work with a range of presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity concerns, family or origin concerns, trauma, and more. I enjoy working with adult clients and have experience working with clients with various identities (race, gender, disability, faith, etc.).

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, I utilize a therapeutic modality that meets your needs and feels supportive to you. Some modalities that I can utilize are cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I view therapy as a partnership where we are working together to address your concerns and goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first appointment is all about getting to know each other! I hope to create a welcoming and warm environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story, so I can understand the context for your therapeutic goals. We will work together to create a plan tailored to your desired outcomes. I will ask you questions to help guide us through this first session, and there is nothing you need to do to prepare. Throughout there will be time for you to ask questions about me and therapy, in general.
