What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, practical, and collaborative. I believe every person’s experiences are unique, so I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs, goals, and strengths rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. In our work together, we will explore the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns that may be contributing to stress or keeping you from moving forward. I work alongside my clients to help them build insight, strengthen coping skills, improve communication and relationships, and develop healthier ways of managing difficult emotions. Drawing from my background in both mental health and addiction counseling, I focus on helping clients create meaningful and sustainable change while building resilience and self-confidence along the way. My style is down-to-earth and approachable, and I strive to make therapy feel both supportive and productive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I understand that starting therapy can sometimes feel intimidating, so I aim to create an environment where you can speak openly at your own pace without pressure or judgment. The first session is also a chance for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and decide whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing practical ways we can work toward helping you feel more balanced, empowered, and supported moving forward.
