Richard Fulton, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello! I'm Rick, and I'm so glad you're here. I received my Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. With a cognitive behavioral orientation, I also incorporate Gestalt therapy into my practice. Over the past thirty years, I've had the privilege of treating mental health and addiction issues, working with diverse populations including those dealing with grief, HIV and AIDS, dual diagnosis, couples, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My experience spans both inpatient and outpatient settings, and I currently run a private practice in Meridian, Texas, exclusively online. I also offer Christian counseling upon request, but my practice is inclusive of all spiritual beliefs or none at all. I am trained in the stages of change and motivational interviewing techniques, and I am certified to teach Developing Capable Young People, a course for caregivers of young people developed by the late Stephen Glen. My goal is to establish an alliance with my clients based on love, acceptance, and support. I hope that each session provides you with something valuable that you can apply to your daily life. I believe in providing compassion, love, and support to my clients. Please note that I do not provide counseling on demand, so if you send me a message in the middle of the night, I will respond within 24 hours. I respond to all posts within that time frame. My specialties include addiction, ADHD, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, gender identity, grief, intimate relationships, life transitions, multicultural issues, OCD, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma.
