Getting to know Richard Gonzalez
I am a Licensed Mental Health Provider and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida. I earned my Master's in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Florida Gulf Coast University. Before pursuing my degree at FGCU, I worked in the rental business but discovered my true calling through volunteer work helping people both in the US and abroad. After much reflection and discussions with family and friends, I decided to transition into counseling to provide more hands-on support to those who are hurting. My philosophy is to make a meaningful difference in the world by helping people heal and grow.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe we are all born with a purpose to make the world a better place. Sometimes, many of us while growing up knew exactly what we wanted to be or do. For others, it is a process of self-discovery. I help individuals, groups, and families make sense, find harmony, peace and purpose in their lives.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
