Richard Nicolazzi, LCSW

Richard Nicolazzi, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
Offering tele-therapy for PA clients ONLY. I am NOT a prescribing physician. I am a therapist with 30 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults throughout my career. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Marywood University and have a background in drug and alcohol as well as mental health counseling. I am experienced in working with family systems, as well as with adults individually. I use a variety of methods to help clients achieve their goals. My practice is based on the belief that people have strengths within themselves which, when accessed, can be very helpful in reaching their objectives. My goal is to guide clients and families in identifying paths they can explore to make the improvements they are seeking. I understand many of the concerns individuals and families have, and I approach clients from a collaborative standpoint rather than an “I know best” approach. I was a child with ADHD, and I have been in recovery from addiction for the past 33 years. I view these as strengths instead of liabilities.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I consider myself open-minded and non-judgmental. The reality is that clients often have things they are hesitant to discuss because of their sensitive nature. You can expect me to accept whatever issues you present with in a judgement-free zone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I provide virtual therapy only. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to make sure we are a good fit, and if so we will proceed from there.
