Rick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor (ASUDC). Rick has a passion for mentoring adolescents and adults with diagnosed disorders. He helps clients accomplish therapeutic assignments and facilitates group therapy, processing, and psychoeducation for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. He has a natural talent for helping individuals work through their problems and recognize their role in governing their lives. He also assists in connecting clients with community resources when needed and has a vast history of volunteer and professional work through organizations such as Utah Foster Care, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the Urban Indian Center, and K.O.P.P.I.R. In addition to his work as a therapist, he is a licensed general contractor in the state of Utah and California. He enjoys working with his hands, creating and building, and brings this passion and skill into his work with clients as he teaches the value of hard work. His greatest passion is his family, which includes his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, weekend getaways, and the Hallmark Channel.
