Getting to know Richard Reyes
The provider is supervised by "Richard Salcido".
I am a compassionate mental health counselor who graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am deeply passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate lifes challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, anger management, PTSD, and self-esteem concerns and have worked with many that are a part of the LGBTQI+ community. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, ensuring that each client feels heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build a stronger sense of self-worth. My goal is to help clients uncover their strengths, gain clarity, and create a path toward personal growth and resilience.

I appreciate the candor and reinforcement of things that should be in place without me saying it

Our therapist is wonderful! He always meet James where he is at. He is always notices his challenges and brings up tools to help him. We are so grateful we found him!

The session was good. I'm glad that Richard had an opportunity to talk about issues 1 on 1 with Emma. He was able to share breathing techniques with her and help assure her that big changes can be good. He put the ball in her court to get some more information on school, and gave her ideas of people to reach out to regarding their experiences.
Richard was kind and caring as well.

Carter really liked his session and feels like virtual is going to work for him. I love that you asked him what he likes and then used that as references for helping him understand how he should behave.

James's therapist always finds ways to engage and get to know him. He's very patient and understanding to James's needs. I know James straggles to answer questions and Richard is very kind to him to not make him feel uncomfortable.

Overall it went very well. Besides my lil man being nervous he seemed to enjoy it and was open to this new outlet. I do wish for the initial meeting I as the parent could have discussed my concerns without my kiddo right there as to not discern him. But overall it was good and im excited to see whats next! I feel very comfortable with Richard and my little only had good things to say after his first session.

Great first experience with a virtual provider. Both my child and me connected well with the doctor and are looking forward to these weekly meetings with him.
