Rick Baumgartle, LPC

Psychotherapist
OR
I am an LPC with 15 years of counseling experience. I am a graduate of Grand Canyon University with a Master’s in Professional Counseling, emphasizing trauma. My approach I work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Informed Cognitive Therapy, both of which focus on making positive changes in your life that allow you to put energy into the truly important things. My focus I work with adults ages 18 and up. I have experience in a number of areas, including—but not limited to—addiction, trauma, adult children of dysfunctional families, anxiety, depression, and grief. My communication style I provide a safe space for clients to discuss their ongoing issues and work to form an alliance where we can collaborate to help you overcome whatever challenges you are facing. My journey to mental healthcare I began in addiction counseling 15 years ago and have since expanded my practice to include other areas of mental health. My goals for you I believe goals need to be centered on the client. The expert on you is you. My first session with you The first sessions are mainly informal, information-gathering meetings that allow me to get to know you, understand your reasons for seeking therapy, and identify the areas you want to focus on moving forward.
