Getting to know Rick Manabat

They say if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. This has been true for me since entering the field of mental health. I am honored to be part of your journey and to walk with you toward freedom, wholeness, and becoming your authentic self. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with a passion for helping those struggling to break free from unhealthy and unwanted sexual behaviors. I am dedicated to assisting people in breaking unhealthy patterns and discovering new ways of living. I believe that every person who enters my office already possesses what is necessary to become their authentic self; this is why I named the practice Pneuma. My role as your therapist is to shine light on the areas you may not yet recognize: your strengths, gifts, and your ability to change. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University. I am a native of Chicago, raised on the northwest side of the city. I am happily married to my best friend, and we have three children. In my free time, I love staying active, planning my next backpacking trip, and spending time with family and close friends enjoying good meals, deep conversations, and plenty of laughter.
