Getting to know Rick Rodgers

I help people map their next steps with clarity and precision. As a veteran and an AuDHD clinician, I’m naturally quick at seeing how the different moving parts of your life connect - nervous system patterns, trauma responses, executive functioning, relationships, and identity. My work is short-term and highly focused. Most clients meet with me for 1–6 sessions as a structured consulting-style boost rather than long-term traditional talk therapy. You don’t need to replace your current therapist - think of this as specialized support to help you get unstuck, identify what’s breaking down, and build a practical plan forward. Sessions are direct, structured, and tailored to how you actually function. We spend less time circling the story and more time identifying patterns, stabilizing the system, and developing tools you can immediately use in daily life - especially around trauma, neurodivergence, chronic stress, narcissist abuse recovery, or major transitions. I offer secure telehealth sessions in IN, AZ, TX, NH, and IL. I also use AI tools to support accurate practice operations with informed consent. If you’re tired of spinning in circles and want a clear, actionable understanding of how you work, I’d be glad to help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to first get your history. I try to look at the world through your eyes so I can empathetically understand what you are going through.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

really cool to talk too.
Rick has been so helpful for me. I don't open up easily and Rick has been patient with that while also fully hearing the tidbits of information I am able to open up about and providing solid, comforting advice.
Great insights
Rick has helped me work through difficult thoughts, feelings, and traumas. Rick's support skyrocketed my progress, equipping me with tools and skills to navigate daily life. He is authentic and intelligent, and he always speaks with empathy and kindness. This therapy has been very challenging, but the past 4 months have absolutely changed my life. I cannot express my gratitude enough for Rick and his amazing work.
I’ve always avoided therapy, thinking it wouldn’t help…and Rick is the first human being, who has treated me as a real human being, validating things I’ve struggled with, direct in his approach, and kind. Interactions are comfortable, like you have someone on your side rooting for you.
Rick is an amazing therapist. He is able to really shine a different light on situations. He gives me the tools I need to work through problems and he gives the best homework.
