What should a new client know about working with you?

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and supportive. I got into therapy because I’ve always been curious about how people get through hard stuff — and how they grow from it. During grad school, I had the chance to work with all ages, from teens to older adults, and I saw how powerful therapy can be. That experience really locked in my commitment to this work. These days, I love helping people feel more grounded, build confidence, and move toward what matters to them. Growth isn’t about being perfect — it’s about finding what works for you and taking it one step at a time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I think of therapy as a relationship. Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you, whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, or another personal objective. As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. We can adapt our plan at any time to make sure it stays relevant to you. I’m here to provide you with the support and tools you need to continue to move closer to where you want to be, even when things feel challenging. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment. We’ll take it one step at a time, and I’m here to guide you through each step of the process.
