Riki Camacho, LMHC

Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Riki! I have 20 years of experience with severe, acute and chronic mental illness and personality disorders. I work with veterans, first responders and domestic violence survivors as well as anger and behavioral management. My focus I provide a safe space for folks to find healing and balance in their daily lives. My approach I love to hear life stories and goals, and I use CBT and DBT skills to help folks find their path and live a wellness lifestyle. My communication style I have a tendency to tell truths about one's life and how they might improve or have a better outcome. My journey to mental healthcare I became a mental health counselor after watching my family struggle with drugs and alcohol and other behavioral addictions. I kept thinking about how I could help others through the challenges of life and start building a life of wellness. My goals for you I offer several different modalities to help folks reach their goals including but not limited to emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness as well as cognitive distortions and relapse prevention techniques. Our first session I want to get to know you, the most effective therapy is interwoven with the therapeutic relationship. I want to build a relationship that promotes trust and nonjudgmental communication that fosters growth and healing.
