Psychotherapist

Hi there, I'm Rita! I work with individuals facing a wide range of behavioral health concerns, helping them build resilience through skill development and a deeper understanding of their personal context and life story. I have extensive training in trauma treatment and am a certified EMDR therapist. I’m committed to ongoing professional development and continually seek out the most effective, evidence-based treatment approaches. I especially enjoy teaching Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and have witnessed meaningful, lasting change in clients who actively engage with these tools to support their emotional and behavioral well-being. My approach I believe it’s essential to actively listen to each client and develop a strong understanding of their behavioral health needs and goals for therapy. Treatment is guided by the individual, and I tailor my approach based on what will be most effective and supportive for that person. I want to create a safe environment for individuals to share their experiences. I work on building trust with the client each session. No two clients are the same, and I strive to provide care that is personalized, respectful, and responsive to each person’s unique experiences and needs. My focus I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, depression, OCD, personality disorders (including borderline personality disorder), trauma, childhood abuse, domestic violence, women’s health issues, relationship challenges, life transitions, work and health-related stress, low self-worth, parenting stress, emotional regulation difficulties, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. My approach is client-centered and grounded in evidence-based practices that support healing and growth. As a certified EMDR therapist and experienced trauma specialist, I help clients process and heal from both acute and complex trauma. Traumatic experiences may include childhood abuse, combat exposure.
