Psychotherapist
WA
Beginning therapy is a major step for you. I commend you for having the courage to start it. I am here to support you through that process to enable your success. My specialties include facilitation through a multimodal approach for those with trauma/grief, depression, anxiety, and developmental issues, providing an individualized, safe, caring support model in helping you reach your goals. Whenever you are ready, please let me know, and we will begin the healing process together. My approach Greetings. I'm Rob. As your therapist, I will assist you in working through your most difficult issues. My therapeutic specialties include trauma, grief, neurodiversity, and family of origin issues, which, if not resolved, will result in lifelong struggles. I know from personal experience that you can't change your history, but you can overcome it by your choices. I use a Christian-based approach that incorporates trauma-focused modalities such as T-MRT, TF-CBT, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and I also, most recently, have been trained in multidimensional grief therapy to assess and assist in resolving difficult grieving. I have spent my career working successfully with individuals with mental health and addiction issues, ranging from school kids to adults, in practically every socio-economic and ethnic background, and those out of prison to professionals. I know from experience that transformative change is available for you. I graduated from Emory University and Denver Seminary. I started out wanting to pursue a career in medicine or medical research, but the course of my life changed dramatically. Being a graduate school researcher, I loved research, but I soon discovered that I needed to change direction. So, my wife and I decided I would be more fulfilled by working directly with people struggling to find their way emotionally, cognitively and spiritually in a very complex and stressful world.
