What should a new client know about working with you?

I have extensive experience supporting individuals with Autism and ADHD and am a certified AutPlay Provider. I’m also trained in Infant Mental Health and currently pursuing certification in Child-Parent Psychotherapy. My approach is rooted in solution-focused and person-centered therapy, meaning we work together to identify your goals and build practical, meaningful steps toward achieving them.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to start my sessions by walking beside you as we set goals you are ready to work toward in a safe, welcoming, private environment that is free of judgement. I prefer using active listening skills and open ended questions to guide you to the answers you're looking for rather than bombarding you with techniques to try. I also put a strong focus on the mind-body connection. I believe therapy should fit the individual, and no two therapy sessions are the same. We will work together as a team on the issues you want to work on and you decide those- I will not try to force you to talk about anything you aren't ready to talk about. It's normal to feel nervous in the beginning, but I've been where you are and because of my life experience I can be empathetic and gentle while remaining honest and open. Let's start this journey together.
