Getting to know Robert Kuehl

I have found meaning in working with adult individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships—whether with family, friends, romantic partners, or co-workers—and/or challenges in adjusting to life transitions. I have had success in helping people work through the anxiety and depressive symptoms that often arise during these times. I also enjoy working with emerging adults who may be struggling to adjust to newfound responsibilities, independence, and life decisions. In our work together, we will not only navigate immediate challenges but also uncover new insights and develop a deeper self-awareness that supports a healthier relationship with yourself and others. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Since earning my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Eastern University in 2014, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, community behavioral health centers, and a group practice. In these roles, I have supported adolescents and adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and the impact of psychological trauma.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session I will have questions about your history and your current life but following that first session I think about our time together as your time. That means my goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel comfortable talking about whatever it is that you may need to talk about on any given day. I don't typically come to our sessions with an agenda. My job is to listen and to reflect - to hold up a "mirror" in an effort to help you gain insight and self-awareness that can be used for change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
