What should a new client know about working with you?

I meet my clients at their most challenging time. Some are trying to navigate an increasingly difficult relationship, some are trying to heal from a loss, and others are desperately trying to return their "normal." Many feel anxious, overwhelmed, and just stuck. Often times, these symptoms are clues that there may be some unresolved pain or trauma. The good news is that you don't have to do do it alone. The better news is that I can help you! We'll start with getting to know you and your context - everything from your family, your history, and your values. Next, we work on equipping you with various tools that will help you navigate through the difficult emotions and respond as a healthier, more authentic you. If you're here, it tells me that you're looking to make some changes in your life. I'm here to listen, but more importantly, to help you make those changes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My "typical" session with you will depend entirely on you - I firmly believe that you are the expert of your life, and I want tap into your expertise as much as possible. I like to provide as much value to my clients as possible. Sometimes this means I will listen and ask questions to help me understand you more. Sometimes I will share what I think and educate on things I have learned. Other times I will challenge your perspective and hold you accountable to the goals you set for yourself.
