Robert Miller, LPC

Robert Miller, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
My name is Bob Miller, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned my Master?s in Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my Bachelor?s degree from Pennsylvania Western University. I have been practicing full-time in the mental health field as an LPC since 2011. Having worked in many career fields over the years?whether blue-collar or white-collar jobs?I believe I am better able to empathize with patients' concerns and meet them where they are at any stage of their lives. My approach My approach to therapy is to empathically meet my patients where they are and, through the therapeutic process, assist them in achieving emotional relief. I utilize several theoretical approaches based on my patients? needs. Some of these include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, among others. My focus Currently, my focus is on adult populations and the issues encountered at various stages of life. Common mental health conditions I specialize in include anxiety disorders, depression, anger, workplace stress, trauma, and relationship-based stress. My communication style I create a low-key, down-to-earth, collaborative environment. I strive to assist my patients in identifying the changes they want to make in their lives to enjoy life more fully. I believe that patients do not need prolonged periods in therapy to achieve personal happiness. My goal is to be solution-focused and make the most of each therapy session. My journey to mental healthcare I entered therapy after several years working in blue-collar jobs, white-collar jobs, and being self-employed. Based on my years of always wanting to help others and being a good listener, I decided to combine my life experiences as a partner, parent, and grandparent with my passion for behavioral health to become a therapist. Over the years, I have believed in meeting my patients where they are and understanding their wants and needs.
