Bob Risavi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New York and North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and a Master's in Social Work from Syracuse University. With over 20 years of experience in the field, he works with children, adolescents, and adults to help them solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives.
Bob uses several styles of therapy depending on the individual and their particular needs. He does not believe in the "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Instead, he shapes each individual's therapy experience to their needs to yield the desired results as quickly as possible. Bob believes that partnership is key to a successful therapy relationship. He views his role as a listener and a champion of his clients' efforts, knowing that together they can design a path through any turmoil his clients face. His passion is to help clients utilize their strengths to create new behavior patterns for the challenges ahead.
Bob has extensive experience with family counseling, drug abuse prevention, school counseling, and counseling adults.
