Getting to know Robert Sloane Franklin

As a therapist and as a human being, I am committed to living fully in this moment, to be fully present with my clients as we align around your values and work together towards recovery. I strive to practice with radical empathy and to provide genuine, compassionate guidance as we work together. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University and work primarily in ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). I am also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Family Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I have extensive experience with eating disorders, LGBTQIA+ mental health, and trauma. I also work with anxiety and depression and the challenges of everyday life. Outside of work, I enjoy alpine skiing and hiking with my partner, practicing taiji and kung fu, tabletop gaming with friends, and cooking for the people I care about. My spouse and I live with and delight in our two terribly spoiled cats.
