Robin Stevens, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Robin! My name is Robin Stevens. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. I work with clients across the state of Texas via telehealth. I serve children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and social anxiety. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach My approach to therapy varies based on each client's needs. I most frequently use CBT and DBT, as these modalities help both me and my clients identify and alter negative thought patterns. We also explore and practice stress-reduction strategies, mindfulness skills, coping techniques, and positive body image exercises when relevant. My focus I work with clients ranging from children to adults. Some of my primary focuses include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and social anxiety. I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective to help clients build skills that improve how they feel about themselves and the challenges they face. With permission, I enjoy collaborating with clients' families, schools, and other providers to offer a holistic approach to care. My communication style My communication style is calm, warm, and nonjudgmental. Building strong client-therapist rapport is very important to me so we can work together to make meaningful changes and discoveries. I am patient and happy to progress at the client's pace. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist because I am committed to doing what I can to make the world a better place. To me, this process starts by helping one person at a time. I feel privileged to work with each client through difficult times and to help them discover-or rediscover-their inner strengths.
