Psychotherapist
50 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand Oaks, CA
I work with clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, and relationship stress—even when things seem “fine” on the surface. You might replay conversations, second-guess yourself, or feel stuck in patterns you can’t quite break. I help clients navigate: - anxiety and constant overthinking - relationship patterns and communication challenges - emotional overwhelm - trauma - sexual identity exploration Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, but feel caught in cycles that are hard to shift on their own. My approach is compassionate and grounded. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help you understand the different parts of yourself—so you can feel more clear, calm, and connected over time.

Getting to know Robyn Olsen

I work with clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, and relationship stress—even when things seem “fine” on the surface. I help clients navigate: - anxiety and constant overthinking - relationship patterns and communication challenges - emotional overwhelm - trauma - sexual identity exploration Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware, but feel caught in cycles that are hard to shift on their own. What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged. I tend to be an active and engaged therapist. I ask thoughtful questions, share insights, and help connect patterns between past experiences and present-day challenges. Therapy moves at your pace, and you always have control over what we explore.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session focuses on understanding what brought you to therapy and what you hope to change or improve. From there, we work together to explore emotional patterns, reactions, and relationship dynamics. Using approaches like Internal Family Systems, we build awareness of the different parts of you that show up in stressful or painful moments. Over time, many clients experience greater emotional regulation, self-compassion, and confidence navigating their lives and relationships.
