Getting to know Rocio Portales
I am originally from San Antonio, TX. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology (2012). During my Master’s internship, I was able to provide therapeutic services for children in a Catholic school setting, parents and families of children with special needs, homeless, couples and families.
Prior to private practice, I worked for a university in San Antonio in the Counseling Services department where I worked for 6 years. During my time with the university, I worked with traditional and non-traditional students and a variety of presenting challenges.
My goal as your potential therapist is to assist you achieve your therapeutic goals as challenging as they may seem. It would be an honor to work with you during this time of your life.
Some of my specializations are: crisis intervention, bereavement/loss, depression, anxiety, sexual assault, homelessness, LGBTQI, suicide prevention and intervention, Eating Disorders, and many others.
