Hello, I'm Rodney, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and the founder of What the World Expects®, a panel dedicated to presenting practical life teachings for high school seniors. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. With nearly 14 years of experience working in education, I've dedicated part of my career to helping adolescents prepare for life beyond secondary education. My standards and morals are deeply rooted in Biblical truth, and my desire to love and relate to others is intertwined with my relationship with God. This foundation allows me to approach therapy with empathy and compassion, regardless of my clients' circumstances. My primary goal in therapy is to uplift people to a better state than they were in when we first meet. I specialize in a wide range of areas including intimate and romantic relationships, life transitions, family relationships, addiction, anger management, anxiety, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, depression, multicultural and diversity issues, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, trauma, ADHD, and grief/bereavement. Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with my wife of 20+ years, Kendra, and our three sons, Nathan, Ethan, and Jonathan. These personal experiences enrich my understanding and empathy, allowing me to connect deeply with my clients.
