My name is Rodney Sikes, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialize in CBT, REBT, Solution-Focused, Trauma, and Crisis Counseling. I work with pre-teens, teens, and adults to help them make better life choices. As an LPC, my role is to help individuals conquer life-changing events and navigate life toward a point of wellness. I enjoy working with pre-teens, teens, adults, and older adults. I strive to provide a warm, welcoming environment where clients can feel relaxed and safe to share their pain, frustration, and most closely guarded secrets. My journey to becoming a therapist began with my career as a police officer. I have always been someone who cares deeply for others. After retiring from law enforcement, I went back to school and earned my Master’s in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University to continue my journey of being a servant. After getting to know my clients and working with them, we focus on specific goals they want to accomplish. By the first session, clients should feel comfortable and look forward to addressing the issues they have struggled with.
