As a licensed clinical psychotherapist with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Bowie State University, I specialize in Adlerian (Individual) psychology. I provide the enlightenment and encouragement necessary to develop healthier ways of living authentically, connecting with others, and building the self-confidence needed to foster courage.
I have extensive experience working with people from all walks of life, helping them find themselves and develop the willpower to live life on their terms. It's crucial to meet you where you are and support you in reaching where you are destined to be.
Adlerian theory is a psychological approach based on the belief that, as unique individuals, people should be validated, connected, and made to feel significant. This therapy focuses on the whole person, not just the parts that need improvement. It views personality as strongly influenced by the role one played within their family of origin, which is partly reflected by birth order (Smykowski, 2022).
What should a new client know about working with you?
A client can expect to take a self-discovery journey. This process will include four stages: engagement, assessment, insight, and reorientation/reeducation. I will help you understand the root of your behaviors, how you can change your view of yourself, and how you can work through and change the view of your childhood. This process can get you on a path that leads to meaningful living.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
