Hi there, I'm Roger! Greetings! My name is Roger Peters. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 17 years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix. I am an empathetic and compassionate professional committed to providing exceptional care to children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and families in the areas of mental health and substance use disorders. My experience includes counseling children in school-based programs, drug and alcohol treatment for adults and adolescents, crisis residential care, and level 14 group homes. I have worked with Transitional Age Youth (TAY) clients who struggle with the daily stressors of transitioning into adulthood, as well as older adults coping with severe mental illness. My approach I am a warm and caring therapist who can establish rapport quickly with clients. I am client-centered, focusing on building upon one’s strengths while helping them develop their personal hopes and dreams. I am resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented. My focus I have worked with a variety of clients struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, drug and alcohol problems, and other addictions. I understand the range of emotions clients experience when facing individual stressors and challenges. I have also helped treat issues including marital and relationship concerns, loss and bereavement, trauma, spirituality, physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, self-esteem, personal growth, parenting, anger management, career difficulties, and coping with transitional life changes.
