Getting to know Rokhaya Fall

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Washington, DC, and Georgia. I provide telehealth services to young adults and adults, specializing in anxiety and depression. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Feminist Therapy, among others, to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, explore the impact of societal influences, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. My therapeutic style is client-centered, collaborative, and rooted in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Feminist Theory. I assist clients in identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts while also exploring broader social and cultural factors that influence their well-being. Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where we can work together toward healing and growth. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, collaborative, and rooted in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Feminist Theory. I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while also exploring the broader social and cultural factors that may influence their well-being. Through CBT, we work on developing practical strategies to manage anxiety and stress. Feminist Theory informs my approach by recognizing the impact of power dynamics, systemic oppression, and identity on mental health. I am particularly passionate about supporting people of the diaspora, and helping them navigate the complexities of cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and systemic barriers. My goal is to create a supportive and affirming space where clients feel empowered to navigate challenges, build resilience, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and culturally responsive. In our first session, we will focus on understanding your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. I will take the time to gather relevant background information, discuss your concerns, and begin developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. In ongoing sessions, we will explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying strengths and coping strategies. My approach integrates evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and psychodynamic exploration, depending on what best supports your healing process. Therapy is a space for reflection, growth, and empowerment. I strive to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to process emotions, build self-awareness, and develop practical skills to navigate life’s challenges. Sessions may involve structured interventions, open-ended discussions, or skill-building exercises based on your progress and evolving needs.
